Re: Schematic Review for VS1003 application (power supply & signal tieoffs)

Thanks for the feedback, to follow up 2. So I guess the 10uF are still required in addition to the LDO caps. Where should the 10uF be placed, any recommendations? I understand 1x 100nF caps should be placed each power pin, but where to place the 1x 10uF cap of each rail, beside any particular pin? ...

Re: Memory management issues

Hi! The output is for I, X and Y memory. # is kernel or something which frags doesn't know which library uses that part of memory. The capital letter designates the library reserving the memory area and each letter is 64 words (If I counted right). The key for letters is the libs: line Anyway you ar...

Re: Schematic & PCB view for VS1003B-L

Hi Berry, Component you are looking at is VS23S010D-S. And it is memory. There should be all chips which VLSI makes in that library, including VS1003. add_vs1003.png I don't know that much about 3D CADs or Altium, but you can take almost any LQFP48 component and use its 3D model as long as its packa...

Re: VS1005 - Utilising the NFCE/GPIO0_11 Pin as a GPIO

You are quite correct. The demux controls many chip selects and one of the selction lines is the power latch. That's why the SetPower vector is changing the state of CE pin. With a quick look I found devByteBus and devHwSpi supporting iochannels. Even if you were using those drivers, setting real CS...

Re: Schematic & PCB view for VS1003B-L

We have Eagle package available: http://www.vlsi.fi/fileadmin/manuals_gu ... e7_lib.zip

As far I can tell, Altium can import Eagle files. You can use LQFP-48 package as model. It is standard.

Re: VS1005 - Utilising the NFCE/GPIO0_11 Pin as a GPIO

Hello and welcome to the VSDSP forum. The kernel is trying to control power of your SD card and other devices It tries uses those three named pins. You need your own custom kernel. Rewrite DefaultSetPower() function from power_devboard.c. If your drivers use iochannel features of some device drivers...

Re: Ethernet Streaming Implementation

Hello! How much does your project work? Are you sure you get correct data from network? Can you decode any MP3 file from for example from SD card? If you haven't got any audio out yet, start working something like Hello project from here: http://www.vsdsp-forum.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=65 There is ...

Re: How to handle a memory allocation

Hi, The error is that you don't have enough Y memory. But the solutions... The best way to release memory is to exit from program. Worse would be tweak memory reservation manually, but it is the road to madness. If your only execution path is first a.dlx then b.dlx put them to config.txt. This works...

Re: Programming VS1005 Breakout Board

You don't have ls.dl3 or usbmsc.dl3 installled on your board. ls is lighter version of dir. The tricky thing about usbmsc is that even if you had it, there wouldn't be enough memory for usbmsc to load after the board has been set up for hiresrec. Fortunately you can boot to usb mass storage with SD-...

Re: USB - product serial number

You'll have SPI flash or some other storage medium on your device. During final test, when the storage is programmed write the serial number to a file and then read the number from the file and write it to the descriptor.

fopen(), fread(), fclose() are the functions.
