Re: Multiple SD cards with HiRes Board

Thanks both. I very much look forward to having a play. :D If you have the gerber files and it is not in production I would be more than willing to get one or two made. I would obviously feedback any issues I have. I don't foresee any issue with 1-2 seconds lost over an sd card change. The only real...

Re: Multiple SD cards with HiRes Board

Hi Panu,

The device I've been working on is an automated recorder for long durations. It needs the hi frequency capability, 8 sd cards but no display.

I asked about it about 8 months ago and you said it was something currently in the process of being developed.

Cheers

Multiple SD cards with HiRes Board

Hello,

was there any update for integrating the multiple SD cards with the HiRes board for the vs1005?

If the board is not ready to buy i would be more than happy to make my own if you could supply the gerber files.

Thanks in advance

Re: 24-bit wav issues vs1005 hiRes

The 24-bit conversion worked a charm once I had figured out what to do with the assembly file and fundamentally removed the code that swapped it to little endian before the conversion tried to do the same thing.

Thank you very much for all your help.

Re: 24-bit wav issues vs1005 hiRes

Hello again Henrick I found a dirty little solution to the problem. It is not elegant and I am not really sure why I have to do it, but it works. For anyone that cares is below. Currently recording 2 channels at 192kHz and 32 bit without dropping samples. I am so impressed with the Hi-Res chip. SetR...

Re: 24-bit wav issues vs1005 hiRes

Thank you Henrik, That makes sense. Before I start sorting it out into 24-bit I thought about ensuring that I can record in 32-bit first. Now the sound quality on both channels is great, but the file length is half what I am programming it to be. I think I have had changed attributes, and again the ...

24-bit wav issues vs1005 hiRes

Hi, I have a recorder that works perfectly at 16-bit but not at 24-bit. the wav header looks fine for a 10-second file, but the file is only 6.66 seconds long. the first channel consists of noise and the second is appalling. I am using the hi-res vs1005. I am sure I have missed something really obvi...

vs1005 high sample rates

Hello, I have been developing a system for a while that uses the vs1005 and have had some great results up to 96kHz 24 bit stereo recordings especially now you have the VS23S040. My employer now wants me to develop something that can record up to 384kHz sample rate 24 bit and in mono  . Obvio...

Re: Multiple SD cards on a VS1005 system

Thanks for the heads up Panu, I already have the Hi-Res board. it is very impressive I was just overly optimistic about it integrating with this design straight out the box I also found out why it was not switching on at all. My colleague has an obsession with noise and when he converted the files f...
