I see. What do I need to know in order to assemble a PCB containing only those two chips? Thank you for your response! My idea as always was to use the fastest DMA possible to transfer video data from scanline buffers on the main microcontroller onto which I'd manually render the nametables, tilesets, 2D polygons made out of 3D matrix projections, sprites, phone UI bitmaps, fonts, etc.. ...
