Re: Schematic & PCB view for VS1003B-L

Hi Hannu Actually, I found a way to view the VS1003 even in the original Eagle library you pointed to! If I just open the library normally using "File --> Open Library" it will automatically just open one component and give no option to traverse the library to find other components, giving me the im...

Re: Schematic & PCB view for VS1003B-L

Hi Hannu Sorry to bring this thread back to life. While doing one last audit of the model downloaded from SamacSys (https://componentsearchengine.com/search.html?searchString=VS1003&country=GB&language=en&source=255), I noticed the model they have has some serious errors and doesn't match against th...

Re: Schematic Review for VS1003 application (power supply & signal tieoffs)

Thanks for your feedback Hannu. I wasn't aware you work for VLSI Solutions, I thought you're just a power user since your profile doesn't say "VLSI Staff" like it does for Panu and Pasi. Your feedback is always helpful! In that case, I'll take up your suggestion and add a footprint for a xtal just i...

Re: Schematic Review for VS1003 application (power supply & signal tieoffs)

Hi , Sorry for the delay, as I’m currently out of town and on travel until next week. 2. Regarding the placement of the caps, yes, I saw a similar schematic in the datasheet. However, looking at the PCB footprint, all the power pins are spread across all edges of the chip, even for the same rail. So...

Re: Schematic Review for VS1003 application (power supply & signal tieoffs)

Thanks for the feedback, to follow up 1. Got it 2. So I guess the 10uF are still required in addition to the LDO caps. Where should the 10uF be placed, any recommendations? I understand 1x 100nF caps should be placed each power pin, but where to place the 1x 10uF cap of each rail, beside any particu...

Schematic Review for VS1003 application (power supply & signal tieoffs)

Hi Could someone please critique my circuit attached. Please note that I don’t have any audio-in, I’m only using the VS1003 chip as an MP3 decoder chip with a line-out and on PCB speaker. The SPI interface is for talking to a memory IC. More specifically, I’d like feedback on the following (all tie-...

Re: Schematic & PCB view for VS1003B-L

Hi Hannu It's strange, I only see that one cell in the library and nothing else, please see attached. I'm using Altium CircuitStudio, not Altium Designer, I wonder if that's a factor. At any rate, I was able to find the model on Library Loader (https://componentsearchengine.com/search.html?searchStr...

Re: Schematic & PCB view for VS1003B-L

Hi Hannu

I opened the files but it looks like it's a different chip. It appears to be a memory chip, not the VS1003B-L.

Also, do you know of a tool that accepts a standard package type and automatically generates a basic 3D model based on that ?

Thanks,
Berry

Schematic & PCB view for VS1003B-L

hello

Where can I find the schematic symbol & PCB view for VS1003B-L? (3D model would be nice too.) I couldn't find those anywhere after searching your website, forum, and on ultralibrarian.com. I need those for use with Altium Designer .

Thanks,
Berry
