Re: LFGA68 VQFN68

Hello VS1010 component has been added to the Eagle 7.6 EDA library at: http://www.vlsi.fi/en/support/download.html -> vlsi_eagle7_lib.zip Normally you should use the -Q / QFN68 variant of the package, it contains the recommended ground wiring and via placement. Eagle DRC will generate 8 errors from ...

Re: PCB design and ground layout considerations

Hello, The analog ground seems good. The power routing should be low impedance too. You may consider filling analog part of top layer with AVDD. The DGND should have lots of vias between top and bottom layers so that the impedance is kept at minimum. The 1V8 net should be routed with thick wires for...

Re: Multiple SD cards on a VS1005 system

Hello. Here are design files for vs1005dev_sdmux8. The zip contains updated schematic and board files in Eagle 7 format. Pull-up resistor R1 for regulator enable has been added to version 1.1, so please use it as a template for your own boards. There are also gerber files for version 1.0. It does no...

Re: Powering external display with Dev Board v1.8

Hello It seems the schematic was originally designed to use LTC3429 and that component has at some stage been replaced by an almost compatible component MP3120 that has bigger current output. Indeed, the MP3120 doesn't need the schottky diode but the LTC3429 requires it when using output voltage hig...

Connecting a camera module to VS1005

Hello Here is a simple demonstration of using a camera module with VS1005. We used VS1005 Developer board and a VS1005 Developer board Display Card with Feigeda FGD177P1402 serial display. To this board a O7660F compatible camera module (XHB703A) was added. Here is the software and wiring instructio...

Re: Voltage Regulator for 1053 Circuit

VS1053 requires 1.8V as Vcore and 1.8V ... 3.6V for IO and 2.5V ... 3.6V for Analog. The IO voltage depends on the external circuitry used, if there are no compatibility issues with other components in the system, it should be kept low to reduce power consumption. We have used usually 2.7V or 3.0V. ...
