Re: Memory management issues

It seems that every time I manage to brick the dev board and restore it successfully, the amount of available memory keeps decreasing. This is only the second time I've bricked and restored it. Do you have any clue what is causing this? The only cause would be that the firmware and/or kernel versio...

Re: Memory management issues

Hi, probably some binary which is loaded at startup is corrupted.. Does the kernel boot into USB mode with GPIO0 button (S1) pressed? If so, then reformat the flash and copy all files. If not, then follow the complete unbricking procedure, complete with reflashing the kernel.

Re: VS1010 SPI Nand Flash support

Hi! Can you measure your supply voltages during operation? What you describe is what I would expect to happen if there are glitches in the power supply, leading to misprogrammed blocks or read errors sometimes. Can you try adding large capacitors and see if that would have any effect; that could hin...

Re: VS1010 Battery Charging

That's great. Does the amount of current in different settings seem useful to you? Which settings are you planning to use?

Re: VS1005 - Utilising the NFCE/GPIO0_11 Pin as a GPIO

Ok, the internal flash doesn't use IOCHANNEL so that's one less thing to worry about. Great if it works for you, hopefully there will be no problems.

Re: VS1005 - Utilising the NFCE/GPIO0_11 Pin as a GPIO

Hi! Hmm, the kernel initializes the external SPI flash to be at IOCHANNEL 3, so you'll at the very least need to poke the DevHwSpiHwInfo of struct device_descriptor spi to use just the XCS0 IO pin. That can be done by a custom small app that you run from the config.txt, but it's not exceedingly simp...

Aligned memory support driver for VS1010D dlx loader

Dear Signal Processing Enthusiasts, Here is a small driver that implements aligned memory support for the VS1010D library loader. It's useful especially for signal processing applications. To use the driver, place the ALIGN.DLX file to your SYS folder and add ALIGN to the beginning of your config.tx...

Re: VS1010 Battery Charging

Is there something I'm missing with this setup? Do I need to flip a bit somewhere You need to enable the charger. Hmm, from your explanation I thought that you already had code to do that. If not, can you check if the code below works for you? The setting can have values from 0 to 15, can you check...

Re: Ethernet Streaming Implementation

Hmm... does missedTransfers increment? If you ever skip a packet, it's impossible to decode the audio..

Also, the way you transfer, can you be sure that XDCS is returned to high before any other activity in the SPI bus, such as SCI register reads/writes?

Re: Ethernet Streaming Implementation

Are you sure the XDCS remains low during the entire SPI transmission?
