Re: Gpio pin of VS1053

Hi! I'm a little bit unsure of what you are trying to do. Do you want to write a program for the VS1053 that analyzes the signal and makes a GPIO output that toggles based on the analysis of the signal? Or do you just need information on how to set GPIO pins high or low with SCI register writes, e.g...

Setting another boot mode from RAMDISK boot mode

When you boot your VS1010C or VS1010D into RAMDISK mode (runlevel 1), here are files that you can copy to the RAMDISK (over USB) to change the current runlevel. For example, if your board is set up, using pull-up and pull-down resistors, to boot in runlevel 1, you can drag and drop "RUNLEVEL4.RUN" f...

Re: Linker Error

Hi! Great that you made it to work!. Hmm, so it was the AudioInit thing after all... I was really dumbstruck as to why just initializing the audio in your boot.dlx and then setting the pins didn't work, and, hmm, still am.. I guess something triggers a complete restart of the audio at some point. Bu...

Re: Linker Error

Hmm, do you have the VS1010 Handbook? Various functions in the ROM configure various parts of the chip to various purposes as needed. What you are experiencing is the IOCTL_RESTART function of the audio output, which sets up DAC, analog drivers and I2S output in SRC mode. The problem probably goes a...

Re: Linker Error

Hmm, are you using a generic (compatible) app template? I think you need to use a ROM-specific app template to access most ROM functions. If that is the case, then the fix is to use a VS1010D -specific template for the project. That will include vs1010d_romabs.o or something that has the symbols. -P...

Re: VS1010 and eMMC

Great! And thanks for your feedback! In this boot.dlx, can the GPIOs be set to to turn on or off LEDs? Yes, please use the boot.dlx solution from the previous post as basis for writing your own firmware. I will help, of course. Hmm, one thing came to mind.. VS1010 SD driver also supports 4-bit mode ...

Re: VS1010 and eMMC

Hi! Sorry, I am in a hurry, but here's a quick follow-up. I got your board and was able to run the formatter on it. I had to use the command line version of the debugger (VS3EMU) instead of the VSIDE because I had some problems connecting to the board and had to do it step by step. It may be due to ...
