Re: 16bit NTSC, the display is incomplete

Hi! Great that you have gotten your VS23S0x0 to work as a video controller! Let's see if I can answer some of your questions! First of all, these 2 questions are very similar: What exactly does protoline do, whether it takes up some pictures Ram Is there a register setting that can set the image to ...

Re: VS1010D sometimes does not see SPI memory.

Runlevel 7, why? Is it a developer board? Is there a bad solder connection on the board? It should say runlevel 15 if it is the VS1010 developer board. Or is it your own board? The runlevel is determined by the biasing of SPI0 pins, the same bus to where your SPI flash is connected, that's why I sus...

Re: Is OSD feasible with VS23S04?

Hi!

Sorry, cannot. There's no way to sync VS23S040 into an incoming video signal. It needs to be the clock master and generate all the syncs itself.

Re: No sound on VS1005 custom board

Test the theory first by ... remove the capacitors completely. 1. This. Do this and see how many boards it helps. That will tell a lot. 2. I've taught on numerous classes that all digital circuits need three things: power, clock and reset. If one of these fails, the circuit invariably fails. So tha...

Re: Left, Right, and Gbuf and Mono output

Ok, got ya. No worries, just being kind of a perfectionist it helps to test the exact environment the customer has (although my criteria for perfection might be different than someone else's). But yes, there's at least one more monospeaker project (the other one is not piezo) so I'm working on a gen...

Re: Left, Right, and Gbuf and Mono output

Hi!

Ok, got it. Good datasheets. You're using an amplifier, which probably makes it a lot easier. Hmm, is there any chance you could send us a sample of that piezo element? I'm thinking about a software solution to focus on these kinds of mono speaker applications.

Re: Click after power on

Hi! Hmm, maybe initializing the audio fully before switching on your amplifier might be a solution... The easiest way you could test it, perhaps, would be to play R:HELLO.MP3 before starting your application, this could be done from the config.txt file. Can you test if it makes any difference? Also,...

Re: Left, Right, and Gbuf and Mono output

Best way would be to design a highpass filter in software and put that in the audio path, maximize the output swing and drive the output inversely. I can help, although it'll take a little time. Do you have any idea about the frequency response (frequency range) and impedance of that piezo speaker? ...

Re: Left, Right, and Gbuf and Mono output

Hi! I looked at the source code and the audioPtr.rightVol = -audioPtr.leftVol; would work on the 16-bit stereo audio path, which is the most common audio path, but not mono or 32-bit path. It could be done globally by forking voaudio.c to make an audioOut SIMPLE_FILE interface with a forked AudioWri...
