Re: Ogg Encoder Plugin upload behaviour

Hello! The .img files containing the VS1053 Ogg Vorbis encoder plugin are approximately 40 KiB of size. That means that sending the encoder through SPI at 10 Mbit/s will take 64 milliseconds even taking about the 100% SPI overhead you get if you don't use SCI Multiple Write. If using SCI Multiple Wr...

Re: Multiple SD cards with HiRes Board

Hello! Yes, we have made an 8 SD card daughterboard to the VS1005 Developer Board. The HiRes recorder for that board is under debugging at the moment. I expect we can release the board and software in late August. It contains 8 microSD connectors and our 4 Mbit SRAM IC VS23S040 for buffering. We hav...

Example source code for WAV PCM decoder DECWAV.DL3

Hello! So far our audio decoders, like MP3 and Ogg Vorbis have been all closed source. While this is necessary for us, it makes it difficult for third parties to create their own audio decoders because there really are no examples on how to do this. To help with the issue, we have created a simplifi...

Re: 24-bit wav issues vs1005 hiRes

Hello Rob! VS1005 audio drivers support 32-bit or 16-bit audio. There is no 24-bit option. If you want to record to a file that is 24 bits, then you need to set the audio drivers to 32-bit mode, then strip and rearrange the bytes to the little-endian format required by RIFF files. Below you will fin...

Re: ENCMP3 Driver not loading

Hello! I have found the reason and I have a recommended solution to your problem. Open up the VSOS 3.55 solution, then open the file transient.c. Find the following line: SymbolAdd("_encMAlignBitsToByte", (void *)1, (int)EncMAlignBitsToByte); Change it to the following (lower case 'e' changes to upp...
