Re: VS1003 WAV recording

Hello again Zigon, your headers are now fine - except for the sample rate which obviously still needs some work. What do you have in SCI_CLOCKF? The formula for the sample rate is: INTERNAL_CLOCK_SPEED / (256 * SCI_AICTRL0) I did some detective work, and it seems clear now that your INTERNAL_CLOCK_S...

The formula for the sample rate is: INTERNAL_CLOCK_SPEED / (256 * SCI_AICTRL0) As for the issues with Groove Music: The original official sample rate for IMA ADP...

Re: VLSI Pitch Changer

Hello Brek, and thank you for your kind words! Although we do have to prioritize, we try to give as good answers as we can even to hobbyists who, as you say, will never make a 100k order. Still, particularly here in the forum we think it is useful to answer because the next time the same question is...

Re: VS1000 Audio Module Step-by-Step

It still gives me the following error: copy spiall.spi eeprom.img process_begin: CreateProcess((null), copy spiall.spi eeprom.img, ...) failed. make (e=2): Määritettyä tiedostoa ei löydy. i think you should get around this issue if you add the /y option to the copy command which I think is in the P...

Re: VS1003 WAV recording

Ok, your are now only four bytes off from being golden! Your header+data+datalength in RECORD1.WAV is still only 508 bytes long while it should be 512. I have corrected the file for you and attached to this message. (It seems to only contain some background noise at around -35 dB level.) I will show...

Re: How to choose a VLSI device?

Hello John! I'd say probably before summer comes, perhaps even earlier. Summer in Finland? around which month?, because here in Bangalore, India, summer is just starting near end of March. Oh yes, I should of course have thought of that summer starts at different times in different parts of the worl...

Re: How to choose a VLSI device?

Hello Henrik, The S/PDIF receiver is definitely in the pipeline 1 month, 3 months, 6 months? just a rough idea! I'd say probably before summer comes, perhaps even earlier. It is one of those features that keep nagging in my head, but also a bit complex to implement because of certain clock design a...

Re: VS1003 WAV recording

Hello Zigon, excellent to hear you got your data issues sorted out! Now with the chunk sizes. Let's assume that your file size is 65536, or 0x10000 bytes. So for my header i need to calculate ("RIFF" header chunk) 0x70, 0x70, 0x70, 0x70, // Chunk payload size (calculate after rec!) This is...

Re: VS1003 WAV recording

Q1, no i didn't check them all,I did now and found something weird, probably an issue i would say :? http://i.imgur.com/JVPHSgf.png Exactly as I expected: from value 0x80 onwards there are problems. This is the cause for your problem, and to me it looks like a compiler bug, not like a hardware issu...

Re: Updates to drivers and applications

Hello! Here are updates to a number of drivers and applications, mostly bug fixes, but also some new little features. Too numerous to list, I recommend you copy these new versions on top of the ones that you have existing in your SYS folder. Updates include but are not limited to: ⋅ Better...
