Re: RDS Radio compile problem with asm files

Hi Hannu, Thanks for the idea. I copied the file to my Solution and compiled with both: #include <vs1005h.h> and with #include "vs1005h.h" and got the same results: ERRIR 102: pointer type needed for parameter 1 Old fm_function code works fine with vs1005h header file. That's the good news. Still di...

Re: RDS Radio compile problem with asm files

Hi Panu, Just #if 0 the new code and #if 1 the original code which used the call WriteIMem((void*) 0x31, ReadIMem(int0x31)); and got very different results. Now fm_function.c compiles but in both fmint.s and mac0int.s the following link error occurs Couldn't open file vs1005h.h I see these at the to...

Re: RDS Radio compile problem with asm files

Hi Panu, Thanks for the quick reply. Tried it and I got the same error message. I did not find any rogue references in my header files. But a search for WriteIMem did turn up something interesting: In imem.h [29] i find: void WriteIMem(register __i0 u_int16 addr, register __a u_int32 instr); while i...

RDS Radio compile problem with asm files

Hello, After upgrading our FM/RDS code from the original (test code) to the latest from 6-12-18 (which compiles correctly), I am having a compile problem in fm_function.c file. I have replaced the old RunIQComp/FmIQRound combination with RunIQComp.c/FmIntC.c/fmint.s combination. I am getting the fol...

Re: Need I2C Driver

Panu,

Does the GPIO2 pins have their own Bit Engine 0 and 1. From the data sheet this appears to be true, yet your post above seems to imply that only GPIO1 pins have the engine. Am I reading this correctly?

Thanks,
Scott

Re: creating mp3 device playing sound in specific time

Panu, Thanks, this clears it up. We could perhaps also integrate code into the kernel boot to detect this kind of situations. For our application, this is not really necessary. If the alarm triggered a boot sequence, we still must read a stored list of any pending alarms anyway. These alarms are to ...

Re: creating mp3 device playing sound in specific time

Hi, As a similar requirement, we need the VS1005 to boot up at a specified time using RTC. From the datasheet 11.19, it is not clear how the RTC Alarm is set, and whether it can boot the VS1005G (where an SD file would provide further instructions), or whether it only generates an RTC Alarm Interrup...

Re: Need I2C Driver

Hi, Panu, Thanks for the update and code. I will give it a go. I know it's far from finished code, sorry about that. But let's take this step by step, we'll get there in the end. No worries. I've observed this process on the USB directory work in the past and am not concerened. Just needed a good st...

Re: Need I2C Driver

Hi,

Our custom boards are up and running. Any ideas on when the I2C driver may be ready.?

Thanks,
Scott

Re: VSOS 3.43 INITNAND on custom board

Hi, Panu, Oh, crap. I didn't think anyone used that. Yes, although NAND Flash tends to be a bit psychotic when left to worldly things, with proper early training, it handles RAW stuff well so far with little delay. I was sure intent on this Cypress NAND working with the existing driver. I'm quite su...
