Re: SD Card Firmware Holder

Can you give a list of features that are required? Maybe we have some other VS1000 SD card player code that might be useful to you? -Panu Here they are: 1) I need makefile for preparing the image of a firmware loads that will be programmed via UART to VS1000b and will program SD Card in FAT32 indep...

I'm trying to load some files from SD card connected to my VS1000b by executing the emultaion via RS-232. Debug is messages by puts are on, and the SD init procedure is tak...

Re: SD Card Firmware Holder

... I don't know. Pasi might have a better idea about the difficulty level of a "dumb" conversion from MLC to SD. ... -Panu Thanks a lot, so now we are starting the implementation based on our writed firmware code trying out to locate and replace all the codes parts connected with NAND memory. Stil...

Re: SD Card Firmware Holder

Ok, now i'm in some "tri-state" out undestanding the stuff :) So what you can advice to start wit in this situation - i dont know anything about "overlays" - when we reached the limit of internal VS1000b code memory size we implemented MLC 8k multi-load technoque given at the VLSI/Support Examples, ...

(Except for the VSOS/VS1005 where the applications are loaded from SD >>card.) The main problem in cases we have done so far is that the user can change the SD...

Re: SD Card Firmware Holder

Hi, Thanks for answering. A bit misunderstadnig occured due to my bad language. I mean the principle of usign SD instead of MLC 8k the same way you used to do it in MLC8k player example. Of course we need to boot from SPI, but as in the MLC8k example when it loads code form NAND flash by this code: ...

SD Card Firmware Holder

Hi VLSI Team! Chip: VS1000b Board: Own (SD Card, SPI 8K EEPROM) I ve recently discovered a good opprtunity of implementing multi - level (multi - modules) firmwares with VS1000b chip with using NAND flash as firmwares holder and content (ogg or wav) storage updated by USB and COM PORT. The main targ...
