Just Getting Started with VLSI Products ( Extract audio from UDP Stream)

Post by thickglass »

Hi guys, Im just getting started with VLSI family products, I would need to extract audio from hdmi modulator which in my case outputs UDP Stream, I need to extract AC3 audio to files and constantly send them to usb buffer, could you guys advice me any relevant documentation or tell what essential componens I would need? Maybe it makes no sence what Im trying to describe... Thank you for any feedback! Kind Regards, John.

I don't think we can be of much help with your project. As of now none of your products has an AC-3 / Dolby Digital decoding, and we're just starting with providing ethernet in the VS1005.

vs1005 could act as an ethernet-USB converter with suitable firmware. However, I can't estimate how much that would require. I have only worked on PCM-format USB Audio, not compressed formats.
