Dear VLSI staff,
This is only to comment on the excellent results that I have obtained with the "association" between VLSI with its chips and Xiph Foundation with its Ogg Vorbis format. I was doing some tests with the VSMD001, and after clarifying some initial doubts, everything worked "without friction". Congratulations. I have a couple of suggestions and doubts, but I will open another thread in the forum.

Btw, VS1000 applications are better placed in the System Software forum, because VS1000 / VS1005 / VS1010 are not slave decoders...

I thought that since the vs1000 decodes audio under my orders, it was therefore a "slave decoder".
Besides, in this forum there are many questions about the VS1000 and the VSMD001, and that's why I thought this was the right place. My apologies.

No problem.
The logic is that "slave decoders" (vs10xx) are controlled by a microcontroller in a system. You don't generally need to do any program development on the "slave decoders", at most you use plugins and patches provided by us.
"system on a chip" (SoC) chips (vs1000, vs1005, vs1010) are (most often) used as the only controller in a system. While we have lots of software support for them, you are developing the code on those processors.
Of course there are cases when a chip breaks outside of its main area, e.g. the vs10xx standalone player application, or UART shell control of vs1005/vs1010.

Ah, OK, now is very clear. One more question: where do I post hardware doubts (always referring to the VSMD001)? It would be great if there was a forum dedicated to the module exclusively.
