Upgrade VSOS from 3.50 to 3.55 question

Post by Kitano8 » Thu 2018-08-09 15:02

Hello.
I use vs1025gf (1419) on a PCB of its own design, using an internal flash memory.
The circuit is close to your BOB circuit diagram, the buttons are connected to D0-D3.
When upgrading VSOS from version 3.50 to 3.55, the following feature emerged. I use the playfiles method this way: RUN PLAYFILES D: *. When switching tracks (S1/S2 on dev board), the current track is played from the beginning, that is, the response of the OS to pressing the button is there, but there is no actual switching. I recently began to deal with your wonderful chip, maybe I did something wrong?

update. I checked the intermediate versions of the OS. in version 3.53, switching works, in 3.54 is no longer.

Hmmm, strange. :geek:

Did you update just the kernel from 3.53 to 3.54 or have you also updated/changed the PLAYFILES.DL3 program and/or any other files in the SYS folder of the flash?

Hello Panu, thank you for your participation and sorry for the delay. I use files from the "small root" folder of version 3.54 and I added the VolHandler program to adjust the volume level. Also, thanks to Henrik, a new aac decoder is used. I looked at the source codes of the PLAYFILES.dl3 and in the latest versions there is no difference. In the description of version 3.54 the update of the function "fopen" is indicated, could not it affect?
