Hi Panu,

Are you going to solve this issue?
How many time it could take?
How can I help you with it?

Regards, Alex

Hi!

Sure, I'll solve it. Just having a bit of trouble with other stuff right now, I'll update the nand driver soon (tomorrow?) In the mean time I wonder if you could also test the USB flash or SD card...?

Ok, K9F4G seems to work now together with the internal flash memory, tried it with the Developer Board, booting from internal flash.

Here's new driver with source code and a root image compatible with VSOS kernel 3.24 and the internal flash for you to test.

[Edit] Update configuration 5 in CONFIG.TXT as below so you can access the nand flash with a PC by pressing S1 and S2 and rebooting the board. This step is needed because you need to format the new nand flash to FAT using your PC.

Code: Select all

[5]
# Configuration for simultaneously pressing [S1] and [S2] while booting.
# In this configuration, the OS loads drivers and *then* shows S: on USB.
# For this example we load the NAND flash driver to be shown on the USB.
K9F4G S
And for other people reading this post, another reminder that you must first use the INITNAND tool for low level formatting the nand flash. We plan to eventually incorporate all these tools (initnand, format) to VSOS. INITNAND is at download/file.php?id=214, see the info text file inside that zip for instructions.

Great! Sorry it took so long for me to figure out how to solve this one. It's like.. often bugs seem like "impossible" when you don't understand them, but once you find the solution, it's like why on earth I didn't think about this before...
