Wave header for PCM-Stereo Mode 48Khz Encoding in VS1053b?

Postby Arun Joe » Thu 2017-04-27 15:41

Hi,
I have been using IMA-ADPCM header and encoding mode in VS1053b, now I need to add
an optional PCM-Stereo,48Khz recording option . I need a valid header for this, which was not found in the forum.
Please mention the block size in this case(that must be read through SCI_HDAT0 at a time)
and the initial block size I should maintain for the header(in IMA-ADPCM it was 512 bytes after inserting the zeroes).
Thank You.

The PCM Encoder application provides a valid WAV header automatically at the beginning of the data. (This is also how the vs1063 encoding mode works.)

So, you don't need to add a RIFF-WAV header yourself. Chapter 2.3.6 tells how to go in later and fix the appropriate fields so that some PC software will work with the resulting file.
