VS1053b: Possible Datasheet typo ... DDR instead of DIR

Post by kolban » Sat 2015-05-16 15:13

In the VS1053b data sheet (v1.22, 2014-12-19), on page 75 (11.10 GPIO), there is a table which shows that register address 0xC017 is called "DDR" while the written text seems to refer to this as "DIR". Given that the purpose of this field is GPIO direction, I am thinking that this may be a simple typo and "DDR" should be "DIR" in the table.

They are synonymous (Data DIrection Register). It seems the previously used DDR has been changed to DIR, but not in all places.
