ADC solutions for real time parameter control?

Post by audionerd » Tue 2019-12-10 23:09

Hi all,

I am curious whether there are known/typical solutions to connect several (for instance 4) analog potentiometers to a VS1053 to control DSP parameters in real time; so with high resolution (10 bit/10kHz) and low latency.

Perhaps an ATTINY402 connected via UART could be used for this?

Thanks.

Inside our office? We would probably use VS1005 instead of VS1053... :D

Ah... does the VS1005 have inputs for connecting sensors like an analog potentiometer? I only see ADC inputs dedicated to audio on http://www.vlsi.fi/en/products/vs1005.html, or perhaps I'm overlooking something?

Yes, there is SAR AD converter (Successive AppRoximation), a few ch, 10 bits (or 12?)

Right, I see, I will look into that, I hadn't heard of SAR before. Thanks.
