I am planning to design our own pcb based on the vs8053. From looking at various example schematics for the audio ICs, some capacitor symbols have a '+' and some don't. I am assuming the '+' symbol refers to polarized capacitors. For examples, please look at the red circles from the attached image. Would there be any loss in performance if I used only nonpolarized capacitors for all the capacitors in the schematic? It would be great if I can stick with only using ceramic(nonpolarized) capacitors. Any feedback is appreciated.
Designing hardware that use VLSI Solution's devices as the system controller for the entire design.
