VS1053 SCI controlled player. not able to read from SD card

Post by Ankikadam » Wed 2017-03-15 15:16

Hi,

I am using VS1053b in one of our application.

This is going to be SCI Controlled player. The plugin will be loaded through microcontroller.

I am able to read or write SCI register and do sine Test.

We have only loaded this application file into the VS1053(player.plg found in vs1053-standalone-vside-130).

Also after starting the application, I can see signal on the CS and CLK pin of SD card.

Signal at clock is around 1MHz.

I also can see signals on DI pin when I am trying to read the file count from the SD card continuously.

But there is no signal on DO pin of SD card and also no sound is coming at the output.

Please let me know what changes are required.

Please verify connections I made, which are as follows.
Connections:
GPIO0 is connected to GPIO2 using 100k resistor and GPIO0 is now pulled down using 10k resistor
GPIO3 is connected to Clock of SD card and pulled up using 100k.
GPIO2 is connected to DO of SD card and pulled up using 100k.
GPIO1 is connected to CS of SD card and is pulled up using 100k.
DREQ is connected to DI of SD card and is pulled up using 100k.

xCS is connected to controller as output
xDCS is connected to controller as output
DREQ is connected to controller as input

CS of SD card is connected to controller as input
MOSI, MISO are connected between VS1053 and microcontroller

Please guide me.

Hi! The stand-alone player is developed with the Prototyping Board, here: http://www.vlsi.fi/en/support/evaluatio ... board.html

Could you see if the schematics of that board might help you?
