The VS1053 Equalizer doc says:
"When running the application, other functions of VS10x3 is not available."
http://www.vlsi.fi/fileadmin/software/V ... alizer.pdf

Which functions are disabled?

The doc also says
"Using EarSpeaker will decrease the maximum number of filters by 8.
Using the Sine Generator will decrease the maximum number of filters by 2."

That means EarSpeaker and Sine are available. Which functions aren't available?

thx

The vs1053b / vs1063a EQ application takes over any normal functions like decoding or encoding. You cannot have any other code or patches loaded at the same time.

The main function you have available in the EQ application is analog input from stereo line input or mono mic input, performing the EQ function, and playback of the result in the analog outputs.

You should assume only the functions described are available:
- You can define and adjust filters as specified.
- You can control the Sine generator.
- You can enable/adjust EarSpeaker.
- If you control through SCI, you can use WRAMADDR and WRAM to read and write memory.
- You can adjust volume with SCI_VOL.

That's it.

Specifically you should not write a non-zero value to SCI_BASS.

I2S is fully hardware, so it can be configured and used.
