VS1003 / How can I make a plugin to add a filter while playing music ?

I am trying to implement a sound effect plugin using VS1003.
The aim is to add a filter on the data stream path while playing music.
I am learning VSIDE and VSIDE-DSP-Lib.
At present, I can design filters using Octave, but I have no idea to start next!
I couldn't understand the telephony examples and couldn't find any more relevant information on the website.
I need some suggestions about what I should do next, thank you！

There's a vs1003 plugin example and Sine/DTMF Generator example in: https://www.vlsi.fi/en/support/software ... ugins.html

Unfortunately that's about it for vs1003, and these are command-line tools examples, not VSIDE solutions.
