Click after power on

Post by Arek » Tue 2018-10-09 11:29

Hi,

Immediately after switching on, I hear two clicks.
Start_VS_AudioOutput_ProgStart.png
Start_VS_AudioOutput_ProgStart.png (17.29 KiB) Viewed 119 times
Above picture is taken from my scope: yellow: Audio (L+R), green shows when my programm start.
Software:
At the beginning, after I/O definitions follow:
setVolume(50); // practically nothing to hear
AmpDemute(); // Switching audio amplifier on,
LED_GN_ON; // Point, where green line in above picture goes hi

and then, after approx. 150ms
PlayerPlayFile();

Q: Any tips how can I reduce the second peak in the audio line?

Many thanks
am

Hi!

Hmm, maybe initializing the audio fully before switching on your amplifier might be a solution...

The easiest way you could test it, perhaps, would be to play R:HELLO.MP3 before starting your application, this could be done from the config.txt file. Can you test if it makes any difference?

Also, can you show an oscilloscope trace that has the GPIO0_0/PWM signal? It should go high after the audio is first inited.
