vs1053 Jack input

Post by LeoS » Thu 2019-01-03 23:57

Hello,
I'm contacting you about the vs1053.
https://www.elecrow.com/wiki/index.php? ... MP3_Shield
I use this one with an arduino uno. I understood how to play music with unfortunately I can not use the jack as input.
I would like to perform a kind of oscilloscope but I'm not sure that it is possible with the vs1053.
I discovered that the jack went through the processor and not the arduino shield
So I was hoping here to find more information on how to use the jack as input and if it's possible.
Thank you in advance.

Hi!

The jack goes to VS1053 line in, right?

You could encode PCM (raw data mode) inside the VS1053, read the results and plot the results. That would give very accurate results.
