VS1063 playflaccrcspectrum patch

Post by Evgeniy »

Hello! Thanks for yours job and good products! Trying to use vs1063a-playflaccrcspectrum patch. But there is no sound first of 1-2 minutes of any song, doesn't matter flac or MP3. After couple of minutes -sound is on himself. Another patches works fine. Is that a bug or i'm doing something wrong? Thank you!

Hi,
I don't notice/hear any difference between the playpatches, playflaccrc, and playflaccrcspectrum versions. All of them play my test flac file from the beginning in the same way (slowly, because the parallel port interface from the PC is too slow).

Are you starting the spectrum analyzer? Have you tried without starting it?

Thanks for fast response. No, i just load the patch and try to play FLAC and MP3. That's all. If i load any of other patch - everything is work fine. Found another thing with this patch - my usual SPI speed is 6MHz, but if increase speed to 12MHz - playing from the start without pause. I know it's too fast SPI speed )))))

The C array and .plg are the same plugin in a different format.

OK, thanks. And one more question. The results of the spectrum analyzer is very strange. Odd numbers (0,1,3, 5... 13) is good and looks like a truth, but even numbers (2,4,6...12) is much higher and just jumping from minimum to maximum value (0-31). To be clear: create array uint16_t results[14]. Odd numbers of this array is good.

Code: Select all

       SciWrite(VS1063_REG_WRAMADDR, BASE+4);
       for (int i=0;i<14;i++) {
       SciRead(VS1063_REG_WRAM, &results[i]);
       }

Are you setting your own frequencies/bands, or are you using the defaults?

When you read back the band frequencies, do you get sensible results?
